Disney Springs, the shopping and dining complex at the Walt Disney World Resort, will begin welcoming guests on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
The majority of this portion of Walt Disney World has been closed due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic since March 17, 2020.
The company has announced that when Disney Springs reopens, it will do so with “enhanced health and safety measures” being most important, however, guests will assume all risk with regards to their exposure to the highly contagious Coronavirus. Below is the statement that appears on the official Walt Disney World website:
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, our other guests, and cast members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
You can read more about the new measures that have been established for the reopening of Disney Springs by visiting our Walt Disney World Resort Reopening Information and Updates page where all details pertaining to the reopening of the theme parks and Resort hotels will be listed as Disney makes those announcements.
