‘Justice for George’: Protesters gather in Orlando, Kissimmee in latest demonstrations over death of George Floyd

Protesters have begun to gather in downtown Kissimmeee and outside Orlando police headquarters this afternoon on the fifth day of Central Florida demonstrations in response to the Minneapolis killing of George Floyd.

Motorists honked in support of a small group of protesters outside Orlando Police Department Headquarters on Orange Blossom Trail. Signs included “End police terrorism” and “No one should be afraid because of your skin color.”

Jade Garzon, of Lake Mary, held a small sign painted with the words “Black Lives Matter.”
