MLS coming to Orlando for Summer tournament

According to a report by The Athletic, the MLS Players Association (MLSPA) has approved a play that would see a its players return to play for a summer tournament in the Orlando area.

The soccer league suspended the season in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The MLSPA voted late Tuesday night to approve a motion to resume play after allegedly being threatened with a lockout if they did not.

Teams are scheduled to head to Central Florida the week of June 24 where they would stay for roughly six weeks. Teams will train for two weeks before the start of the tournament which would see each team play at least five games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, according to a tweet by MLS UK Show.
