We recently caught wind (ok – truth, this info was sent to us) about this new Twisted Root Burger Co. arriving in Winter Park later this month. And the moment we started reading about burger this and burger that and realized we were drooling, we knew we had to share it here.
Apparently, this Texas-based fast-casual gourmet burger chain is big (everything’s in bigger in Texas, eh?) in the Lone Star State, and has been featured on Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” The first Florida franchise location is set to open on just next week on November 12 in Winter Park at The Grove at Winter Park.
Now we don’t know much about Twisted Root at this point other than the photos and descriptions we’ve seen that look and sound absolutely mouthwatering, and we can’t wait to actually experience some of the eats personally. That said, here’s a little bit of what we know*. For starters, Twisted Roots has half-pound, fresh-ground patties. That’s TWICE the size of burgers sold at comparable burger spots. Then, the burgers are accompanied by freshly-prepared toppings, buns from local bakeries, and custom-made condiments and pickles. And to make things even more interesting (and fancified) the menu offers exotic meats, including elk, ostrich, rabbit, camel, venison, boar and duck. We really appreciate this part of it as an added attraction and differentiator in a market filled with options of many burgers.
